Debbie Overton is a self-taught mixed media artist born and raised in Arkansas.  The summer of 2006 she moved to southeast Georgia where she has found the coast life and history within a great inspiration to her art.  Her love for antique and vintage photos, old letters, postcards and other ephemera can be found in her collage, paper arts and assemblage.  She feels each piece of artwork has a story to tell, just waiting on the imagination to travel back into a time of forgotten memories.

Debbie’s art has been featured in print publications such as Somerset Gallery, Somerset Magazine, ARTitude and Collage Cats Zines, as well as several online interviews.  She has exhibited in various art shows and exhibitions in Arkansas and Georgia.  Her artwork can be found in shops and private collections from coast to coast and she also does custom collage work.  2007-2008 will find her art in upcoming exhibitions, art how to books and various other print and online publications. 

She is the Founder and Administrator of an online art group, Mixed Media Collage Artists.  Not only has she designed, she also maintains the art site as well as her own website and blog.  Debbie has a wonderful support system that includes her husband and three wonderful young adult children, all of which are in college at this time.
